When Crouching, your vision and speed is greatly decreased. Crouching allows you to see footprints of Humans and Demons (Blue Footprints for Humans, Red Footprints for Demons). Crouching also makes you regenerate health quicker. Crouching is also sometimes used to unstuck yourself, if you're stuck of course.
